Lighting Up
Belgium’s 130th
Anniversary Match

Brussels, September 7, 2025 – Last Sunday, Lotto Park hosted more than just another qualifier. As the Belgian Red Devils celebrated their 130th anniversary, MaxAmaze had the honour of producing a fully customised pre-match show that set the stage for a historic evening.

The occasion was marked in style, both on and off the pitch. The Red Devils went on to claim a 6-0 victory over Kazakhstan, with standout performances from Kevin De Bruyne, Jeremy Doku, and Leandro Trossard. Before kick-off, fans were treated to a visual and audio experience designed to match the magnitude of the milestone.

The Production: Celebrating 130 Years in Lights

At the heart of the show was a timecoded light performance, fully synchronised to music provided by the Belgian FA. Every beat, transition, and crescendo was matched with precision lighting cues, transforming the stadium into a stage that paid tribute to 130 years of Belgian football.

To elevate the standard set-up at Lotto Park, MaxAmaze also deployed additional show lighting, intensifying the spectacle and creating dramatic peaks of anticipation before the teams walked out.

More Than a Match

The night ended with Belgium securing three points in their World Cup qualifying campaign, but it began with an atmosphere worthy of a 130th birthday celebration. For MaxAmaze, it was another example of how technical expertise and creative vision combine to make sport unforgettable.
